Gator Gal

I know this is a little dangerous, since I'm now living in Michigan territory but ... I am a die-hard Florida Gator fan. My New Year's Day will be spent watching the Florida vs. Michigan game. All I can say is may the best team win! My college-football-filled-fall-fun is over until next year. I feel my team had a good year. Sure, they aren't back-to-back National Champions (oops, that may upset a few Ohio State fans), but Tim Tebow won the Heisman. I have to say he is an impressive player and I was won over further with his Heisman speech. Especially since he acknowledged and hugged my favorite Gator, Danny Wuerffel.

RSS Feeds

I found the RSS feeds a little confusing and frustrating. I like going to the web pages and browsing through articles and reading what I'm interested in. The RSS Feeds feel like too much information overload all in one place. I'll keep trying to play with it and see if I get comfortable.

I'm using Google Reader and was frustrated receiving 40 new items from one news site. Way too much overload for me. I preferred going to the sites to connect to the feeder. It was simpler for me.

I'm still learning...slowly.

Dupont Library Blog

I was so excited to see Dupont had a mention of the obituary index on their blog. We are continually asked for copies of obituaries.

Getting Started

I was talking to a friend back home and we were discussing Library 2.0. I realized I used to complain that my skills were becoming obsolete because I didn't have the opportunity to try the new technologies in the library field. Now that I'm at ACPL, I have the opportunity. Yet, I wasn't testing the 2.0 thing. Thanks to my conversation the other night, here is my first post.
