Klutz Factor

Yes, I am an absolute klutz. I am the woman who went on a hiking expedition in a foreign country and tore the ligament in her ankle. I am the girl who went white water rafting and fell out of the boat. Don't get me wrong, these scenarios have not stopped me from still trying my hand at new adventures. Though I know plenty of people have told me to give up.

This week, my klutz factor has been in overdrive, but in simple scenarios. As I was leaving work the other day, I dropped my coffee mug which fell to the ground with an audible bang as the lid popped off. My coworker happily pointed out my tendancy to drop things. Earlier that same day, my laptop bag had slipped off the desk denting my computer. This morning as I was coming in, I ended up wearing half of my coffee in the car. As I searched for paper towels, I realized they were in the back. These are the same roll of paper towels that Michelle gave me in Florida because I had spilled coffee over five times in my new car.

Here's to hoping I have used up my klutz points for the time being.

Love the whitewater rafting story!!! You hide the 'klutz factor' well--I would have never guessed

Hey, klutzy moments make good stories! There was the time I was sitting at the computer and heard something on a crime show about an Indiana town and went running over to see what it was and got tangled in my blanket and kind of fell in slow motion to the floor. I knew I was going to fall so I just gave in to the moment. I have also fallen down the stairs a few times, broke a bone in my foot while running down the stairs because I was convinced there was an evil spirit behind me (I had been reading a Stephen King book while alone in the house), and tripped over various animals who want to be right by my feet. I did a really good one when I was in high school and we went to a German Club meeting and I got out of the car and slipped and fell flat on my face in the middle of the street - but saved the tray of goodies I was bringing in.

Personally, I like a little ditziness and klutziness in my life. :) I have this little piece of my brain that thinks physical comedy is rollicking good fun. :)

Sarai, you are too funny! Maybe I should share my story from high school--backstage on the drama club set, Paul Ladd told me something that I just knew April needed to know immediately so I hopped over one support but didn't duck quickly enough to avoid smacking my head on another. Eva was looking directly at me and I saw the astonishment on her face as my legs flew up in front of me and I fell backwards onto a chair. I won an award for that astonishing feat of clumsiness.

I think your klutziness is cute! And I can't believe you still have that same roll of paper towels, that was like 3 years ago!
