Movies of the Heart

After the Romantic post, many of you sent in movie recommendations, which I plan to watch in the coming weeks. Kay went so far as to bring me several movies to further my "education." Several people have asked me for a list of the movies she loaned me. One person pointed out that Kay is the guru of Romance and her book reviews are spot on, so I have decided to review the movies I'm watching. Before I start on the newly viewed movies though, I'll address the ones listed by others that I have already seen. These ratings are based on a scale, according to my opinion.

While You Were Sleeping
When Harry Met Sally
The Notebook
Witness
The Princess Bride
Romancing the Stone
The Big Easy
Dirty Dancing
It's a Wonderful Life
Pride and Prejudice
English Patient
Beauty and the Beast (Disney version)
Emma

Beaches
Return to Me
Love Actually
Roxanne
Last of the Mohicans
The Philadelphia Story
Casablanca
Four Weddings & a Funeral
Ghost
Green Card
Groundhog Day
Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn version)
Splash
A Walk to Remember

Tootsie
Steel Magnolias
Hope Floats
Two Weeks Notice
Sleeping Beauty (Disney)
Don Juan Demarco
The American President
A Lot Like Love (can't watch Ashton Kutcher)
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
The Sound of Music

So do you agree? I know the people who recommended these movies may not agree, but it was fun remembering the movies. Want to discuss why the movie deserves a higher rating?

You gave Tootsie two stars????? No way! Have you watched it recently? It's better than two, for sure. :)

And you gave How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days two stars? That one definitely deserves one star! Phllbt!

Here's a sucky movie ~ The Sweetest Thing. Have you ever seen it? One of the worst movies ever.

Still love The Notebook & Pride and Prejudice **** I watched Ghost again right after Patrick Swayze passed away, still makes me tear up!

K- Of Course, I haven't watched the French version, I'm waiting on my "education."

S- Tootsie never appealed to me. Not sure why. Lose a Guy had its moments though it was the beginning of the end for Matthew M. in my opinion.

I have not seen the Sweetest Thing. Good to know to avoid.

E- Are we discussing the BBC version of P&P? Becky and I were thinking of having a viewing party at some point.
