I'm in Love
Hubby was startled to discover how easily I can get excited by simple things last night, much less he couldn't believe how in love I am with my new toy. I bought my Droid phone about a month ago and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I know I'm not using half its functionality, but that's not the point. I have an ESPN College Football app on the phone which I periodically check, but last night they announced the ESPN Bowl Bound app, where you get to choose your team. I downloaded it and played for a bit. Lifting glazed eyes up at hubby, I told him, I was in love. Everything Gator football related is at my fingertips just with a push of a button. Yes, I moved it onto my phone display so I can access it quicker. Of course, this is only for the fall. Hubby responded that the fall was going to be terrifying this year with me receiving updates on my phone concerning the team. It's only for fall, truly, but it made me love my purchase.

The smartphone is an addiction. Shortly you will not be able to imagine how you lived without it previously. Welcome to the club!

Ya know, this love is only temporary. In two years, it will be the next latest and greatest thing. However, the best part about being in love with this gadget is it doesn't talk back. And that says something!
On a related note, you have hit on something that resonates well with me. I'm in love with my Nookcolor and I couldn't imagine getting a different type of ereader.
I hope hubby took advantage of your dewey eyed wonder and re-established hin #1 status in your heart. Yes, I know you love the Gators, but I also know he tops your list.
Hey Mel - I got a countdown app for the Droid. Now I know exactly how many days/hours/minutes/seconds/milliseconds until our trip to NE. Me=Happy!
