1. Travel
I know I place this as a goal every year, but it's one I enjoy. I'm already starting the year off right. The birthday trip planning has begun, I have major plans in July which we'll discuss in a moment,
2. Writing
The RWA conference this year is within driving distance and I am super excited about 4 of the authors who will be there, so I plan to splurge and go. The only hiccup to my plan is a. I don't have a roommate, though I still hope I can convince someone to bunk with me and b. to make it affordable, I need to be prepared to meet with an agent. So I need to complete my manuscript in time for the July conference. This is big job considering the recommendations I received about the story.
All my friends are from work. There is nothing wrong with this and I love all my friends dearly. You guys are the best, but I would like at least one friend who is not work related. I tried the church thing, but I didn't develop in friendships through that arena. My thoughts so far is a. take dance classes (it will also keep me fit and would be fun), b. join the Gator Club up here, since I would have something in common, or c. join a writing group.
4. Kids
I need to have a firm decision instead of floundering as I have the last few months. I have a repreieve for the time being, but I should take this time and decide what is best for me and the hubby.
Notice none of my goals are weight, workout, or genealogy related. I decided I fail at those goals, so I should find new ideas. We'll see how I handle these new goals.
Would anyone else like to share their goals? Or would anyone like to join me on some of my adventures? And for those of you who say they live vicariously through my stories, please consider joining me, that way we can share them.

Nice crown. Goals? Um... Keeping my job. Keeping UP with my job (so that other programming person doesn't have to remind me to do stuff). Staying sane. All of this may be mutually exclusive. Visiting Texas again (and all that that state holds). Making at least one person a day laugh out loud, even if it's just me. Sorry, I don't think I was ever as goal oriented as you oldest-born and onlys.
I say join a writing group or hang out at gay bars
One goal - going vegetarian for a year. So far, so good.
Love your goals this year! I particularly like the thought of doing the dance class.
One of the my goals is to keep a creative outlet, whether I try something new or just making time to do my normal crafty stuff. & to enjoy every day.
I asked Chris about his resolutions. He said he wanted to keep it something attainable: to change out the dead light bulbs in the house. Now his resolution is complete! I'm not sure though, that seems like setting the bar kind of low. . . :)
D- You make me laugh everyday. Plus as the oldest child and your fellow programmer, I'm the task oriented person while you're the creative one. Plus I excel at nagging.
K- Still trying ti figure how I can convince you to room with me, so we can go to RWA.
C- I can't imagine giving up meat.
E- Tell Chris he's one step ahead of James, who doesn't believe in goals besides the day to day stuff.
