My Thanks

I got to thinking ... On the phone last night, my friend Crystal, who lost her grandmother last week, said she had yet to read my email because she wasn't ready to hear condolences from those who truly care. And my sister has struggled this past year with an ill child, but feels like she is alone, yet she has many friends, none of which have offered to help or visit. I recall all the friendships that have come and gone through the years, even the past few years with my move out of state.

With my own medical and personal crisis that I have suffered through this past year, I have been very blessed and fortunate with the people in my life. I have not felt alone during this time, instead I have had overwhelming support. So here is my many thanks to those who have helped me through everyday mundane tasks and have listened to me during my emotional turmoil. Some of you have offered to take my phone calls at three in the morning, some have driven to meet me after my appointments or to the appointment so I can cry, others are flying up to visit. So here's my list: Dawne, Kay, John, Erin, Sarai, Peggy, Delia, and Michelle. Special thanks to my neighbor and friend, Becky, who besides helping me around the house and listening to me for hours, but also is now driving me to my physical therapy appointments and helping after my surgery. And also to my hubby who has overcome his OCD tendencies to help and my mother who is traveling up to visit.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You all are truly wonderful.

We are more than happy to help. But it's a "what goes around" thing. You listened to me, tolerated me, lifted things for me, so.... Life: We're all in this together!

This is what it is all about ... how many people (including you, Melissa) have listened to me and given me support over the past 2+ years while I have struggled with my own "personal situation?" Cheap and effective therapy - what would we girlfriends do without each other?
