The sling is off! I'm ready to throw it in the trash and say good riddance. But now begins physical therapy. I expected the physical pain, but wasn't prepared for the emotional beating. Your range of motion is bad, you need to push harder, don't push so hard, can't you move it more, you won't make your goals, you're too weak for that exercise, we'll have to start you slower, this will take months to heal. Boy, I needed a therapist after the first session.

Don't throw out the sling. 1) You MIGHT injure yourself again (...but I save EVERYTHING -- we still have C's boot from her stress fracture as a sophomore in HS!)and 2) you might want to use as part of a costume or something. However, remember that physical therapists are really sadists who like getting paid well. Their job is to push you hard and to get you mad enough to want to be done faster. All of us are with you (emotionally speaking, 'cuz obviously, me exercising my arm won't help).
I agree, don't throw out the sling!!!
You can get through it! I know it, you are too stubborn to fail.
Love ya,
Mich
